ISU in BROOKLYN, NY
June 8-14, 2014
In Summer Semester 2014, the Institute for Sustainable Urbanism (ISU) traveled to Brooklyn, NY, to explore the Gowanus Canal. During the excursion, students met with local community advocacy groups, politicians, artist groups. Students were also able to tour relevant projects in New York City, such as the Fresh Kills Park in Staten Island and the new waterfront parks, in DUMBO and Williamsburg and to visit various architectural offices in NYC.
