São Paulo is an important case in studying the development and evolution of fast growing regions.
In recent years the agglomeration (Greater São Paulo) registered an estimated population of 19.9 million people.
The design studio Urban Transformation’s participants will propose sustainable solutions for Barra Funda – an industrial neighborhood of São Paulo focus of a major Urban Operation.
The excursion to Brazil will take place from April 29th to May 11th. Participants will produce in locus analysis collaborating with students from the University of Campinas.
They will have the opportunity to visit Brazilian’s urban design and modern architecture, to meet São Paulo’s Urbanism and Housing secretaries, architects, urban designers and orts.
